During this session, Prof. Raj Sisodia, founding member of the Conscious Capitalism movement, will present his view of the leadership style he came to call conscious leadership. The term conscious implies a more thoughtful, more awake, and more intentional embrace of the role and responsibilities of a leader. Leaders who practice conscious leadership are first and foremost on an inner journey of character development and personal transformation, informed by a powerful understanding of human nature and human culture. Raj Sisodia will also explain why conscious leadership is needed, why it is more effective than other leadership styles, and how individuals and organizations can develop it. He will also share his personal story towards a more conscious way of leading. Following this keynote, Dr. Stefan Hoetzl, CEO Teka Group, will briefly present how he adopted the notion of conscious leadership and transformed the culture of a global company like Teka. After these two presentations, Prof. Pascual Berrone will moderate a panel discussion between the speakers and Mr. José Suárez, CEO of Axialent and a co-founder of Conscious Capitalism Spain. They will reflect on how conscious leadership can be applied to generate real organizational and societal transformation, particularly in the context that companies face today.
